according to initial reports,... the body of elders were strictly ordered by the watchtower bible and tract society of australia to cover-up the multiple rapes of a number of children within the traralgon congregation allegedly committed by a fellow member of the jehovah's witness religion.

Why don't JWs do much in the way of charity work?

so i argue with the boyfriend a lot about the fact that i think charitable work is every bit as important as preaching when it comes to serving god.

every church i've ever gone to has some sort of community outreach, if not several outreaches, that have little or nothing to do with preaching.

and i made the point that if these people know you're affiliated with a church, they'll think a little more kindly about christians, too, which would help in the whole witnessing arena.

Why don't JWs do much in the way of charity work? They just don't!

As many of you know, the WTBTS advises the R & F to work through the local Elders, especially the COBE with any questions as opposed to calling the Society directly & pestering them with their needs and issues.

However, when it comes to money and contributions the Society has provided hotlines to call: In the November 15, 2011 Watchtower Study Edition on pages 22 and 23, not one but two phone numbers are given for the R & F to call with regard to how charitable conbtributions can be made to the WTBTS! The 2 phone numbers are (718) 560-7500 and (845) 306-0707.

Clearly, WT headquarters is not at all interested in doing charitable work or in protecting and providing for the flock as they are in fleecing the flock! How happy is Jehovah with that?

Please Post Reasons For Not Believing The Witnesses Have The "Truth" Anymore

i see a few want to believe in the watchtower's view of bible prophecy, scriptural understandings and the view that the "anointed remnant" dispense the "spiritual food at the proper time".. how would you refute those views?.

Do YOU Believe That JWs Have A Huge Problem With Pedophiles?

i don't think there are more pedophiles in the religion than there are in others.. i understand that one is too many.

but i think some believe that it's an epidemic within the organization.

i believe their 2 witness rule can help pedophiles secretly abuse kids.. but i don't think that this particular crime dominates those in the religion.. .

How come you have to wait on Jehovah? Shouldn't he be faster than you?

if jehovah created the universe, knows it all, et cetera, and then he has a direct line to the governing body, how come you're always told to "wait on jehovah"?

can a simple earthling be faster in his or her reasoning than yhwh?

can s/he notice something jehovah will miss?.

Good question. Recently a CO told an audience that the decision to terminate the Home Book Study arrangement did not come quickly. It was something like 2 to 2 1/2 years in the making. Thats' right! The GB kicked the idea around for over 2 years before deciding on the matter of ending what many believed was the most important meeting. All the more reason the CO said to support the new arrangement because the GB had given alot thought and prayer to the matter. Yeah, right!

If God's Holy Spirit is so much a part of this religion's workings why did it take soo long for the GB to come up with their final decision to end the Home Book Study program? I'll tell you why! Cause Holy Spirit was absent from those meetings. Just like its' AWOL from all the other meetings where these Old Geezers decide to make changes or adjust their thinking on organizational matters.

OUTLAW: The WBT$ admits to 23000+ pedophiles on its data base..

There are over 107,000 JW congregations with a database of 23,000 + pedophiles; that translates roughly to 1 child molester for every 4 congregations. Thats' huge!

The GB needs to come up with a "JW Sex Offender Registry" of its' own!

please call richard rawe's "dialogue" program (a special conference call program), monday, december 5th at 8 p.m. est in the us, or 7 p.m. cst, etc.. the phone number is 712-432-8710, pin #9925. .

richard told me that if steven unthank is no longer prosecutor, being that the "crown" took over the filed criminal cases against five watch tower entities, he, steven, might be on the phone discussing the latest hearing and the indictments.

if steven does not call in, someone else will report on what took place in court which in australia will be on tuesday, dec. 6th.. hopefully, this special conference program will take place without any snafu.. barbara.

Barbara, sorry didn't have a chance to dial in till way late into the program. Also sorry to hear that there wasn't other callers to offer their support. It puzzles me as to why there wasn't other voices making themselves heard. I know you put yourself out abundantly for abused children. I applaud you for championing their cause. Be assured your efforts do not go unnoticed. You didn't sound well from the little I heard which is another indicator to me of how determined you are to make this tramp, WTBTS, pay for its' misdeeds to so many.

I know firsthand that you have indeed become a thorn in the side to the Society as I personally have heard traveling representatives of WT headquarters speak from the platform to warn the R & F about your website and your past connections with the writing department. So apparently you're causing more than a rumble back at Bethel.
